Leo Slemett

As a multi-talented and ambitious young freeskier, Leo is on a non-stop quest for new experiences and adventures. Born in the famous alpine town of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, he was already on skis when he was 3 years old and competing in alpine competitions by the age of six. When he turned 12, he realised that his passion was for backcountry terrain, jumps and backflips so he switched to the action-packed arena of freeskiing.

A few years later, he chose to explore his passion further and started to enter freeride competitions. During the 2011-12 winter season he placed first in the Nendaz Freeride World Qualifier 3*, the Eldorado Freeride Open in Vallnord, the T-Bar Free Session Freeride World Qualifier 2*and the Dahu Freeride Open. In 2013-14 he finished first overall in the Freeride World Qualifier, before placing 14th in the Freeride World Tour of 2014-15, securing podium finishes in Verbier and St. Moritz along the way.

What sets Leo apart is his versatility. He enjoys every aspect of freeski and is constantly looking to innovate and excite. He also loves to travel and film as much as possible. In the last year he has visited Siberia, Alaska and Greenland and was also proud to earn his certification in marketing and management in the autumn of 2015. In future years he wants to visit the mountains of Iran and win the Freeride World Tour. Until then he’s happy discovering new spots to shred, spending time with friends and family, and sharing his skiing adventures with the world.
