Qualifying details for The North Face EU Pro Programme

Applications to The North Face Pro Programme are assessed on an individual basis, and membership granted at our discretion. The qualifying details below are issued as guidance only, and the list of criteria categories is not exhaustive. Both are liable to change at The North Face’s discretion. Please apply with your work email address with your name, if applicable.

OUTDOOR INDUSTRY

Full-time employees of outdoor brands, suppliers and distributors whose employers are members of organisations including, but not limited to, ISPO, EuroBike, or EFTTA and offer a reciprocal deal to TNF/VF employees.

Qualifying documents:

  • Current certification from your national agency and/or membership card for a ski instructors’ association.

  • Redacted recent payslip from your employer.

  • Referrals from TNF/VF employees are welcome.

MOUNTAIN GUIDES

Affiliated mountaineering and climbing guides with recognised certification from a national or regional body working full-time for a recognised outdoor operation.

Qualifying documents:

  • Current guide license.

  • Website detailing your organisation’s guiding activity.

  • Redacted recent payslip.

SNOWSPORTS INSTRUCTOR

Ski/snowsports instructors who are certified by their national agency and actively instructing multiple days per week during the operational season.

Qualifying documents:

  • Current certification from your national agency and/or membership card for a ski instructors’ association.

  • Redacted recent payslip from your employer.

SEARCH AND RESCUE (SAR)

Current members of search and rescue agencies with demonstrable proof of membership and participation in search and rescue activities.

Qualifying documents:

  • Dated ID card from your association.

  • A ‘call out’ document listing you as an active member of your unit.

SKI PATROL/SNOW SAFETY

Ski patrollers and avalanche/snow safety experts working full-time at ski resorts.

Qualifying documents:

  • Current organisation membership card.

  • Redacted recent payslip.

  • Certification from FIPS or relevant country-based association of ski patrollers.

(For avalanche/snow safety workers)

  • Current employment document from your mountain resort or regional governing body, whichever controls avalanche mitigation.

BACKCOUNTRY/MOUNTAIN HIKING/TRAIL RUNNING GUIDES & INSTRUCTORS

Full-time guides working for recognised backcountry/hiking operators.

Qualifying documents:

  • Guide license.

  • Website detailing your organisation’s activity.

  • Redacted recent payslip.

MOUNTAIN RESORT EMPLOYEE

Full-time employees of mountain resort working in corporate management or on dirt/snow. Applications from employees involved in food service, day care or similar will not be accepted.

Qualifying documents:

  • Dated resort ID.

  • Redacted recent payslip.

CLIMBING GYM EMPLOYEES

Full-time employees of climbing gyms.

Qualifying documents:

  • Contract of employment or redacted recent payslip.

OUTDOOR MEDIA/PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER

Full-time employees at established outdoor-focused publications and media outlets including but not limited to photographers, videographers. Primary occupation must be in the outdoors.

Qualifying documents:

  • Website detailing your publication or outlet’s activities.

  • Redacted recent payslip or invoice.

ENVIRONMENTAL NGO

Full-time employees at NGOs working in the outdoor sector to protect and manage the environment. Including but not limited to cycling and outdoor advocates, field biologists, field/steam restoration workers. Applications from volunteers will not be accepted.

Qualifying documents:

  • Proof of paid employment.

  • Website detailing the activity of your organisation.
